Leontaridis Giannis

Cardiologist

Giannis Leontaridis, son of Petros and Kleoniki, was born in Ioannina in 1972.

He graduated from the Lyceum of Zosimaia, in Ioannina in 1990, with a grade of “excellent”, took part in the Panhellenic Examinations and was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Ioannina with a scholarship (2nd place). In July 1996 he received a degree in Medicine, with an overall grade of “Very Good”.

From September 1996 to November 1997, he served as an agricultural doctor of the Regional Clinic of Kalentzi, Ioannina Prefecture and was on duty at Pramanta’s Health Center.

From November 1997 to May 1999 he served his military service as a military doctor.

From May 1999 to June 2001 he was a specialist in Pathology (Pathology Clinic of the General Prefectural Hospital of Arta – Director: Dr. D. Papaioannidis, Pathologist) and from September 2001 to September 2005 he was a Specialist in Pathology – Director: I. Goudevenos, Professor of Cardiology).

In October 2005 he received the title of specialty in Cardiology. During his specialization he participated in scientific Greek and international conferences and events, with announcements of medical works and his medical works have been published in Greek and foreign language journals.

At the same time he participated in the educational courses of Medical students and Cardiology specialists. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences since 1998, a member of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology since 2001 and a member of the European Society of Cardiology since 2001.

From November 15, 2005 until today, he has a Cardiology Clinic in Ioannina, at 16 Charilaou Trikoupi Street.

He is married to Vasiliki Alymara (hematologist) and they have a son, Alexandros.
